I actually bought this some months ago and have decided to review now as I can confirm it is completely waterproof. I was drinking tea in bed and clumsily managed to spill almost an entire mug, to my surprise not a single drop passed through the waterproof membrane. I didn't think it would actually work to that extent as products can often be oversold in this day and age. An excellent product well worth the money.
